Privacy notice
What we do with the details you give us, in plain words.
In this example nothing is collected. The booking, voucher and contact forms run inside your browser only. Nothing you type is sent, stored or seen by anyone. This site sets no cookies and has no tracking. The text below shows what a real privacy notice for this salon would say.
Who is responsible
Sable and Rose Hair Ltd, 1 Example Street, Worcester. Email hello@sable-rose.example, phone 01632 960715.
What we collect and why
- When you book: your name, phone number, email, the service and the time. We use them to keep your appointment and to contact you about it (to carry out our agreement with you, UK GDPR Article 6(1)(b)).
- When you order a gift voucher: your name, email, phone if you give it, and a postal address if we post it. We use them to make and send the voucher (Article 6(1)(b)).
- When you write to us: your name, email and message, so we can reply (Article 6(1)(b), or our legitimate interest in answering questions, Article 6(1)(f)).
- Colour notes: if you tell us about an allergy or a skin reaction, we note it on your record with your explicit consent, so we can keep you safe (Article 9(2)(a)). You can ask us to remove it at any time.
- Text reminders, only if you ask for them (consent, Article 6(1)(a)). You can stop them at any time.
Who sees it
Only our team. Our booking tool, our website host and our email provider process the data for us under a written contract. We never sell your details or pass them to marketing firms.
How long we keep it
Your client record: until two years after your last visit. Messages that do not lead to a booking: 12 months. Invoices and voucher sales: 6 years, as the tax rules require.
Your rights
You can ask to see your details, correct them, or have them deleted where the law allows. Email us and we reply within a month. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
